(2026) The Odyssey - Another Brilliant Work from Christopher Nolan

I have read so many news headlines, social media posts and a lot of things about this movie which made me intrigued to give it a try. Last week the tickets were already sold online but they were not available in my favorite cinema with large screen and great sound system. Since my wife and I will be going for two weeks holiday trip starting tomorrow and I did not want to miss out while waiting for it to be available in that cinema, I decided to just buy tickets for today's show in the studio nearest from my home. Without further ado, here's more on the movie.

Brief Story Line

After their vitory in the Trojan War that took many years, brilliant Greek strategist Odysseus (Matt Damon - The Last Duel, Jason Bourne etc) was trying to return to his home in Itacha. However the journey was far from easy as Odysseus and his crew had to go through various ordeals and faced a lot of dangerous mythical creatures and other enemies.

(2026) Moana - The Live Action Adaptation of that Wonderful Disney Animated Movie from 10 Years Ago

This week only 1 major Hollywood movie was released and it was already available for Advance Ticket Sale since last week. My wife and I were not having anything to do so we bought the tickets for yesterday's show in the cinema very near from our home. OK then, I'll just get right on it.

Brief Story Line

Since her childhood, Moana (newcomer Catherine Laga'aia) the daughter of Motunui village chief Tui (John Tui - Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, Power Rangers S. P. D. TV series etc) and Sina (Frankie Adams - The Wrecking Crew, Shortland Street soap opera etc) had been drawn by the ocean. However, Tui was very strict not to let anyone to go beyond the reef so Moana never got the chance to do it.

(2025) Obsession - A Brilliantly Done Disturbing Psychological Horror Movie

I was a bit hesitant at first to see this movie since it was already so long released in the US and more than a week in Indonesia. But as there was nothing truly interesting, I decided to just went ahead and watch this yesterday. Since it was a horror movie, I saw this without the company of my wife. All right then, let's get on with it.

Brief Story Line

Four co-workers that consisted of Baron "Bear" Bailey (Michael Johnston - Endangered Species, Teen Wolf TV series etc), Ian (Youtuber Cooper Tomlinson), Nikki (Inde Navarrette - Superman & Lois TV series, Trap House etc) & Sarah (Megan Lawless - The Hate U Give etc) had been working together for some time in a music store. Bear had a crush on Nikki but had no courage to express his feeling. When he bought a toy that was said to be able to grant a wish, Bear casually wished for Nikki to love him.

(Mini Series) Human Vapor - A Wonderfully Written, Dark & Tragic Sci-Fi Thriller Series With Some Awesome Special Effects

Ever since this series was shown as part of the Coming Soon in Netflix, I was already intrigued and looking forward to it. But as I was busy finishing another series on the day it was released, I only started watching two nights ago and finished it yesterday. Without further ado, here's more on the series.

Brief Story Line

During a live interview on TV by well known reporter Kyoko Kono (Yu Ayoi - Rurouni Kenshin: The Final, Asura TV series etc), the person being interviewed was killed by mysterious gas which shocked the whole audience. Police detective Kenji Okamoto (Shun Oguri - Godzilla vs. Kong, Museum etc) was assigned to investigate the case. When someone who called himself Human Vapor (UTA) claimed responsibility for the murder and threatening to kill other people, Kenji led a group of police to try and capture him. 

The Death of Robin Hood - A Disappointing Take on Robin Hood's Final Days

I noticed this movie in the Coming Soon section of various Indonesian cinema chains websites and application and thought it looked interesting. Plus the lead actor was a famous star that I thought looked suitable as the main character. When it was finally available yesterday, my wife and I went to the cinema nearest to our home and saw this in the afternoon show. Well how was the movie then? I'll just get right on it.

Set in the year 1247, an aging Robin Hood (Hugh Jackman - Deadpool & Wolverine, The Greatest Showman etc) was feeling tired after years of killings and was living all by himself. When one of his oldest friend Little John (Bill Skarsgård - Nosferatu, Barbarian etc) sought his help to free his family from old adversaries, Robin decided to help him despite his earlier reluctance. 

(TV SERIES) Elle Season 1 - A Fun and Pleasing Light Comedy Series and Prequel to the Hugely Popular Legally Blonde

Few weeks ago, I read somewhere about this series that would be released on Prime Video which I thought sounded interesting. When it was finally made available two days ago, I thought it would have the usual one episode per week, but to my surprise, all episodes were already released on that day. So I decided to start watching yesterday and finished it today. Without further ado, here's more on the series.

Brief Story Line

Set in the 1990s, Elle Woods (Lexi Minetree - The Murdaugh Murders etc) the only daughter of successful plastic surgeon Wyatt Woods (Tom Everett Scott - Sisters of the Groom, The Summer I Turned Pretty TV series etc) and Eva (June Diane Raphael - Long Shot, Burning Love TV series etc) was having the best time of her life, living in Los Angeles and was loved by her high school friends. Unfortunately, due to some reasons, the whole family had to move outside LA and settled in Seattle.

Enola Holmes 3 - Not as Impressive as Its Predecessors with Less Complex Mystery, Though Still Maintained Its Charm

Brief Story Line

After years of being in relationship with Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge - Disclaimer mini series etc), Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown - Damsel, Godzilla Vs. Kong etc) agreed to his marriage proposal and planned to have their wedding in Malta as suggested by Lady Tewkesbury (Hattie Morahan - Fool Me Once mini series, The Golden Compass etc). From Enola's side though, only her brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill - In the Grey, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare etc) was able to attend since their mother Eudoria (Helena Bonham Carter - Agatha Christie's Seven Dials mini series, Lady Jane etc) was being hunted by British government for her past crimes.

(TV SERIES) Song of the Samurai Season 1 - An Entertaining Series With Plenty of Well Crafted Sword Fights Albeit A Bit Too Much Details on the Historical Part

I knew about this series since it was promoted on HBO Max a couple of months back. It was something that really interest me but as it was released one episode per week, I decided to wait till it's complete last Sunday to start watching. It took me longer than expected but last night I finally finished the whole season. Without further ado, here's more on the series.

Brief Story Line

Story was set during the late Edo period where Hijikata Toshizo (Yamada Yuki - Godzilla Minus One, School Police TV series etc) the poor son of a farmer was searching for someone that could make him stronger till he finally met Kondo Isami (Suzuki Nobuyuki - Prince of Legend TV series, Revenge Girl etc), the master of Shieikan Dojo. Toshizo became the latest disciple of Shieikan together with several others including the sword prodigy Okita Soji (Hosoda Kanata - A Kiss Lasts Forever TV series, Bullet Train Explosion etc), the academically intelligent Yamanami Keisuke (Nakamura Aoi - Tokyo Refugees, Tokyo Salad Bowl TV series etc), Nagakura Shinpachi (Uesugi Shuhei - Land of Tanabata TV series, Windbreaker etc) who was excellent in using his hands and others with their own specialties.
