(2026) Moana - The Live Action Adaptation of that Wonderful Disney Animated Movie from 10 Years Ago

This week only 1 major Hollywood movie was released and it was already available for Advance Ticket Sale since last week. My wife and I were not having anything to do so we bought the tickets for yesterday's show in the cinema very near from our home. OK then, I'll just get right on it.

Brief Story Line

Since her childhood, Moana (newcomer Catherine Laga'aia) the daughter of Motunui village chief Tui (John Tui - Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, Power Rangers S. P. D. TV series etc) and Sina (Frankie Adams - The Wrecking Crew, Shortland Street soap opera etc) had been drawn by the ocean. However, Tui was very strict not to let anyone to go beyond the reef so Moana never got the chance to do it.

(2025) Snow White - Despite Its Surrounding Controversies, Still a Pretty Enjoyable Live Version Adaptation of Disney's Classic

After having vacation out of the country for 2 weeks with my wife, I was eager to play catch up with the movies released during those time. Yesterday evening, we opted to see this film in the cinema just walking distance from our home. All right, let's just get on with it.

Brief Story Line

Snow White (Rachel Zegler - Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes etc) was a princess who lost her parents since she was young. Meanwhile her step mother, the Evil Queen (Gal Gadot - Heart of Stone, Wonder Woman etc) was obsessed of being the fairest of all by constantly checking on the Magic Mirror (voiced by Patrick Page - Spirited, The Gilded Age TV series etc). Fearing that Snow White would trouble her in the future, the Queen confined her in the palace and turned her into the maid. One day, Snow White met and sympathized with a thief/rebel named Jonathan (Andrew Burnap - The Front Room, Under the Banner of Heaven mini series etc) who was eager to defy the Queen. After the Evil Queen was told by the Mirror that she was no longer the fairest, she decided to kill Snow White and instructed the Huntsman (Ansu Kabia - Miss Scarlet and The Duke TV series etc) to do so.

Though this movie was released on Friday, I did not watch it on that day as I was finishing other series. I only saw it last night after hanging out with my wife the whole day. All right then, let's get to it.

Brief Story Line

Woody Woodpecker (voiced by Eric Bauza - Looney Tunes Cartoons etc) tried to prove that he could be a team player by joining a kids summer camp called Camp Woo Hoo. There he befriended Maggie (Chloe de los Santos), the daughter of the camp's owner Angie (Mary-Louise Parker - Red and its sequel, Weeds TV series etc). Maggie and her friends were always bullied by their neighboring camp Hoo Rah, owned by Angie's cousin Zane (Josh Lawson - Mortal Kombat 2021 version, Bombshell etc). 

(TV SERIES) Avatar: The Last Airbender - An Entertaining Action Adventure Fantasy Series Based on the Popular Animated Series from Nickelodeon

I was so looking forward to this series that when it was released on last Thursday, I immediately started watching it. Amazingly I could finish it on the following day which was quite a feat considering it was on weekdays. Anyway let us get on with it then.

Brief Story Line

Story was set in the world where people could utilize the four elements of air, water, fire and earth (called "bending") for various purposes. Historically, only an Avatar who could bend all four elements and also the person who would maintain the peace. The fire nation had been trying to rule the world by eliminating the next Avatar said to be an airbender. Aang (Gordon Cormier - The Stand mini series), a 12 year old boy from air nation only wanted to be a regular kid but had to resume the responsibility of the Avatar.

(TV SERIES) Yu Yu Hakusho Season 1 - Live Adaptation of the Popular Manga Series with Plenty of Wonderfully Crafted Fight Scenes

I saw the notification of this series few weeks ago on Netflix and was immediately intrigued. Despite never watched the anime it was based on or the manga series, I was interested due to its interesting premise. So when it was released two days ago, I started to watch and finished it last night. All right, let's get into the series.

Brief Story Line

Yusuke Urameshi (Takumi Kitamura - Tokyo Revengers movies etc) was a deliquent high school student who was infamous for skipping school and getting into fights, particularly with Kuwabara (Shuhei Uesugi - River's Edge etc). At school he was only close with his childhood friend Keiko (Sei Shiraishi - Prince of Legend etc). When Yusuke got into an accident and died, he was approached by a spritual being named Botan (Kotone Furukawa - Konto Ga Hajimaru TV series etc) who told him he could be resurrected.

(TV SERIES) One Piece Season 1 - A Wonderful Adventure Series Based on the Highly Popular Manga

After being hyped in various social medias as well as by Netflix, I was eager to find out about the series.  Lucky for me, I could access my Netflix account even when I am not in Indonesia. Anyway, I finally got the chance to watch it 3 days ago and finished it last night. OK, without further ado, here's more on the series.

Brief Story Line

Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy - The Imperfects TV series etc) had been dreaming of becoming a pirate since he was a child and wanted to find the treasure left by the infamous pirate Gold Roger referred to as One Piece. During his quest, Luffy met and befriended with various people, from the cabin boy of a pirate ship named Koby (Morgan Davies - Evil Dead Rise etc), the master swordsman Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu - Knights of the Zodiac, The Master Plan etc), the thief Nami (Emily Rudd - Moonshot, Fear Street Part Three: 1666 etc), Usopp (Jacob Romero Gibson) who always talk big and the cook Sanji (Taz Skylar).
