Hungry - A Decent Enough Survival Thriller Movie

For the second of our movie marathon day, we saw this survival thriller that I thought would be interesting. Although it was not something that my wife truly liked, but she was willing to accompany me seeing this. All right then, let's just get on with the movie.

Brief Story Line

Sistine (Madison Davenport - It's What's Inside, Reprisal TV series etc) and her best friend Hannah (Olivia Bernstone - Fighting With My Family etc) were having a holiday trip in New Orleans. They later joined a tour on the swamp to see alligators using the boat captained by Captain Rodrigo (Michel Curiel). Along with Sistine and Hannah, there were also other people who joined on the tour like the family of Sally (Samantha Coughlan - Arcadian etc) with her father Tim (Jim Meskimen - War of the Worlds 2025 etc) and her teenaged son Mikey (River Codack - Happy Face TV series etc) and businesswoman Dionne (Tracey Bonner - Sweet Magnolias TV series etc).

Clayface - A Very Dark Origin Story of One of Batman's Villains

After playing in Indonesian cinemas for almost a week, my wife and I finally got the chance to see this movie yesterday. We were on holiday last week and just returned on Saturday night, so no time to see the film as we were busy with other things. Yesterday was also the Cinema Day in Indonesia with all cinema chains giving discount to their studios and lots of people seem to take advantage of it. Anyway, I'll just get on with the movie then.

Brief Story Line

Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries - Kandahar, The Return etc) was a famous actor who managed to build successful career from bottom. After gotten into problem with mob boss Marko Szabo (David Dencik - The Chestnut Man TV series, The Snowman etc), Matt's face was disfigured and he lost everything, including all his wealth managed by his manager Frank Fitzpatrick (Eddie Marsan - Prisoner TV series, Wrath of Man etc).

(TV SERIES) The Shards Season 1 - Disappointing Thriller Series with too Much Focus on Coming of Age Stories

I have actually completed this series few days ago but just got the chance to write it today. It was something that I was interested in ever since I found out about it on Disney+ 1.5 month ago. However the final episode was only released on 9 September while I was away on holiday trip with my wife, so I only got the chance to watch the full season after I returned last week. Anyway, let's just get to the series.

Brief Story Line

Story was set in the year 1981 about a tight group of popular students in an elite high school in Los Angeles. They consisted of the narrator Bret Easton (Igby Rigney - The Midnight Club TV series, Midnight Mass mini series etc), his girlfriend the very wealthy Debbie Schaffer (Singer Hayes Warner) and their best friends the student body president Susan Reynolds (Kaia Gerber - Shell, Palm Royale TV series etc) with her boyfriend star quarterback Thom (Graham Campbell). However things started to change with the appearance of new mysterious student named Robert Mallory (Homer Gere) who became part of the group and somehow ruined their dynamics.

The End of Oak Street - An Amazing and Intense Sci-fi Survival Thriller Movie

As I said in my earlier post, my wife and I decided at the last minute to buy tickets for Wednesday's show despite having advance ticket sale last week. It was due to the schedule in the same cinema we were going for another movie was only available on that day. The timing was just nice as it played half hour after the first film finished. OK then, I'll just get right on with this movie.

Brief Story Line

Set in the year 1982, the Platt family that consisted of Denise (Anne Hathaway - The Odyssey,  The Hustle etc), her husband Greg (Ewan McGregor - Birds of Prey, Moulin Rouge! etc) who was working part time delivering pizzas and their two children the teenager Audrey (Maisy Stella - My Old Ass, Nashville TV series etc) and her younger brother Brian (Christian Convery - Sweet Tooth TV series, Playing With Fire etc) were just one of the regular families living in Oak Street.

The Devil's Mouth - Shark Survival Thriller that would not Win the Hearts of Critics but Still Pretty Intense

When I returned home from my 2 weeks holiday, I did not browse through anything new on streaming platforms as I already set my eyes on watching certain shows. I only started searching for it yesterday and noticed there was a new movie released on Prime Video since last Wednesday. It seemed to have interesting premise which made me intrigued to give a try. OK then, I'll just get into it.

Brief Story Line

Five friends that consisted of Sara (Kathryn Newton - Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come, Freaky etc) and her dominant best friend Max (Lana Condor - Pretty Lethal, Deadly Class TV series etc) with her boyfriend James (Nico Hiraga - Moxie, The Power TV series etc) together with Adrienne (Tommi Rose - Sweet Magnolias TV series etc) & her boyfriend Greg (Gavin Casalegno - The Summer I Turned Pretty TV series, Queen of the Ring etc) wanted to experience one last adventure before they went with life after college. They decided to go to Thailand and went on an under water tour in the remote caves called the Devil's Mouth with local tour guide named Wat (Tayme Thapthimthong - The White Lotus season 3 etc).

Disclosure Day - The Return of Steven Spielberg to the Alien Genre Albeit in a Less Action Approach

This was another movie that was released mid of the week in Indonesia. I never saw its trailer before and had no idea of what the film was about, but the name Steven Spielberg and the genre alien was enough to make me wanted to see it. So yesterday my wife and I went to the studio not far from our home. It was a sudden change of plan cause my favorite cinema stopped playing the film after just 2 days. Anyway let us dive into it now.

Brief Story Line (warning possible spoiler)

Daniel Kellner (Josh O'Connor - Wake Up Dead Man: A Knive's Out Mystery, The Mastermind etc) was a cybersecurity expert working for an organization within the US government. He somehow found out information about aliens which he wanted to share the world. However Daniel's plan was disrupted when his boss Noah Scanlon (Colin Firth - Young Sherlock TV series, Mary Poppins Returns etc) was aware and tried to capture him and his girlfriend Jane (Eve Hewson - The Perfect Couple mini series, Flora and Son etc) to avoid having chaos around the world.
