Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - The Fifth and Final Installment of the Beloved and Popular Archeolog Adventure

When I found out there was going to be a fifth Indiana Jones movie, I was excited to find out what other adventures he was going to experience. But I had to wait till the weekend to see this movie in my favorite cinema with Dolby Atmos sound system. So here's more on the film.

Brief Story Line

In the year 1969, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford - Blade Runner, The Star Wars original trilogy etc) got an unexpected visit from his God-daughter Helena Shaw (Phoebe Waller-Bridge - Solo: A Star Wars Story, Goodbye Christoper Robin etc) who was eyeing for an old artifact speculated to have some powers. However, a group of people led by Indy's old enemy Dr. Schmidt (Mads Mikkelsen - Chaos Walking, Doctor Strange etc) that also included his right hand man Klaber (Boyd Holbrook - The Sandmand TV series, Logan etc), the big guy Hauke (Olivier Richters) and the American woman Mason (Shaunette Renée Wilson - The Resident TV series etc) were also looking for Helena and the artifact.

(TV SERIES) National Treasure: Edge of History - The Spinoff of the Popular Treasure Hunt Movies

As a fan of the two National Treasure movies starring Nicolas Cage, I would not want to pass the opportunity to watch the series based on those films and set in the same universe. It was released every week on Disney+ since mid December last year and its final episode was just shown last week. So I began to watch it in the weekend and finished it yesterday. OK, I will go straight to it now.

Brief Story Line

Jess Valenzuela (Lisette Olivera - We Need to do Something etc) was a young woman of Mexican descent who lived in the US under DACA immigration policy. She lived with her childhood best friend Tasha Rivers (Zuri Reed) and they were best friends with Oren (Antonio Cipriano) and his roommate Ethan (Jordan Rodrigues - Light as a Feather TV series etc). When Jess somehow met with a former FBI Agent Peter Sadusky (Harvey Keitel - Taxi Driver, Bugsy etc), she found herself caught in the middle of treasure hunt led by ruthless antiquities dealer Billie Pearce (Catherine Zeta-Jones - Wednesday TV series, Entrapment etc). 

The Lost City - Really Fun and Hilarious Action Adventure Movie

When this movie came out on Wednesday, I was unable to see it and only managed to do so yesterday, My wife and I went to the theater not far from our home with very few audience for our comfort. Well why don't I go straight to the movie then?

Brief Story Line

Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock - Ocean's 8, The Blind Side etc) was a romance novelist who was being pushed by her publicist Beth (Da'Vine Joy Randolph - Dolemite is My Name etc) to write another novel after taking a hiatus for a while. During the latest book tour together with the model cover of her novels named Alan (Channing Tatum - Kingsman: The Golden Circle, The Lego Movie 2 etc), Loretta was asked by a wealthy billionaire named Abigail Fairfax (Daniel Radcliffe - Guns Akimbo, Victor Frankenstein etc) to search for a treasure in the lost city of Z which was what her novel was about.

(TV SERIES) Outer Banks Season 1 - Better Than Expected Teenagers Treasure Hunt & Love Story

Last weekend there were not too many new movies/series on various platforms that I was really interested in, so I turned myself to the "not so new" series which I thought would be worthwhile to invest my time. After browsing through the list, I decided to give this a try as it seemed to have intriguing premise about treasure hunt. All right, I'll just head on with it now.

Brief Story Line

In a town located in the string of islands along North Carolina (known as Outer Banks), a group of local teenagers that consisted of their leader John B (Chase Stokes), his best friend J.J (Rudy Pankow), the smart kid Pope (Jonathan Daviss) and the only girl Kiara "Kie" (Madison Bailey) loved to hang around and surf all day. As locals who lived in the working-class neighborhood (referred as Pogues), there was a lot of tension with the wealthy people who lived on the other side of the town (referred to as Kooks).

(TV SERIES) Blood & Treasure Season 1 - A Quite Standard Treasure Hunt Adventure Series

When I read the brief synopsis of this series, it immediately interest me and I did not hesitate to give it a try. I started watching this last week but even though it was only 13 episodes, I could only finished last night. Well what was the series about? Let us find out more below.

Brief Story Line

A former FBI agent Danny McNamara (Matt Barr - Hellcats, Valor TV series etc) who now worked as a person specializing in repatriating stolen art was asked to find the famous tombs of Anthony and Cleopatra. To do so, he enlisted the help from an art thief Lexi Vaziri (Sofia Pernas - The Brave TV series etc) who Danny believed would provide great assistance. However, Danny and Lexi would find the task very dangerous as a ruthless terrorist named Karim Farouk (Oded Fehr - The Mummy, Resident Evil series etc) was also trying to get the tombs for his planned terror attack. It was further complicated when a group of secret organization called Brotherhood of the Serapis seemed intent to find the tombs as well.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge - 5th Installment of Our Favorite Pirate Jack Sparrow

So, another public holiday on a Thursday which translated to movie date with my wife. This was one of my anticipated movie for the summer period, as Pirates of the Caribbean series were also my favorite. It actually premiered in Indonesian cinemas yesterday but we believed it would be exciting to see it at noon in the nearest cinema from our home with the Dolby Atmos sound system, i.e. Epicentrum Mall. After trying new menus in a restaurant nearby the location, we went to the cinema and watch it at 1.15PM show. Well let us get on to the movie now.

Brief Story Line

Henry (Brenton Thwaites - Maleficent, Gods of Egypt etc) was a young man looking for ways to break curse of the sea. He read all the possible literature to help him achieve his mission. While working in a British war ship, he became caught up in the war with a pirate ship. After some incident, he was later found by the British army in an island. He was suspected of treason and was going to be punished by hanging. He claimed that the ship was attacked by army of the dead, led by captain Salazar (Javier Bardem - No Country for Old Men, Skyfall etc) which the Royal army did not believe.
