(TV SERIES) FUBAR - A Fun and Entertaining First Ever Arnold Schwarzenegger's Lead Role in TV Series

This series that was just released on Netflix last week really intrigued me as it starred Arnold Schwarzenegger whose many films I have seen and liked in the past. Plus the premise sounded very interesting. Anyway, I gave this a try during the weekend and completed at the same time. OK, why don't I just get on it now.

Brief Story Line

Luke Brenner (Arnold Schwarzenegger - The Predator, Aftermath etc) was a CIA agent working together with technical support Barry (Milan Carter) and other operatives Roo (Fortune Feimster - Yes Day etc) and Aldon (Travis Van Winkle - The Last Ship TV series etc) under the supervision of regional director Dot (Barbara Eve Harris). After 40 years, Luke decided to retire from CIA as he wanted to focus on winning his divorced wife Tally (Fabiana Udenio - Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery etc) back. He also wanted to get closer to his family, particularly with his adored daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro - Top Gun: Maverick, The Good Cop TV series etc) who never knew Luke's actual line of work.

As I am not a major fan of musical films, I have my doubts on seeing this one. But I know my wife loved the animated version a lot and even though she was a bit skeptical, she still wanted to give this a try. Obviously I would accompany her doing so and we did it yesterday at the cinema nearest to our home. Well all right, I will dive into it now.

Brief Story Line

As the daughter of King Triton (Javier Bardem - Dune etc) who ruled the seas, the mermaid Ariel (Halle Bailey - Grown-ish TV series etc) had been really fascinated with the human's world. Her infatuation was enhanced after she saw prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King - A Dog's Way Home etc). But the king was adamant that Ariel should avoid humans at all cost and he assigned his trusted advisor Sebastian the crab (Daveed Diggs - Snowpiercer TV series etc) to monitor her. However, Ariel disregarded her father's wish and still went on with her best friend Flounder the fish (Jacob Tremblay - Good Boys etc) and the seabird Scuttle (Awkwafina - Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings etc) to collect anything related to humans.

Fast X - Another Spectacular Installment in the Fast and Furious Series

When this movie was released mid of last week, my wife and I were still on holiday and unfortunately the film was not playing there yet. So we had to wait till this weekend to go and see it in Jakarta. We chose our favorite cinema with the Dolby Atmos sound effect. OK, I'll get on with it now. 

Brief Story Line

After their last adventure, Dom (Vin Diesel - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 etc) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez - Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, etc) were enjoying their lives as newlyweds taking care of B (Leo Abelo Perry). Meanwhile Roman (Tyrese Gibson - Morbius etc), Tej (Ludacris - End of the Road etc), Han (Sung Kang - Raya and the Last Dragon etc) and Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel - Army of Thieves etc) went on a mission in Rome as instructed by Little Nobody (Scott Eastwood - Wrath of Man etc).

Scream VI - Still an Enjoyable Slasher Movie Even After > 25 Years

During the past few weeks, I have been away on holiday and since I got back few days ago I was so busy that I have not been able to write anything. Finally today I got the chance to post something that was very interesting for me, as it was a personal favorite. All right then, let's get right at it.

Brief Story Line

After the events in previous movie, the remaining survivors of Woodsboro killing, Sam (Melissa Barrera - Keep Breathing TV series etc), her younger sister Tara (Jenna Ortega - Wednesday TV series etc), the twins Chad (Mason Gooding - Booksmart etc) and Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown - The Leftovers TV series etc) had moved to New York city to start new life. Tara was living together with her room-mate Quinn (Liana Liberato - If I Stay etc), while Chad's room-mate was Ethan (Jack Champion - Avatar: The Way of Water etc) and Mindy was seeing Anika (Devyn Nekoda - Sneakerella etc). 

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - A Lovely and Emotional Conclusion to the Hilarious Team of Superhero

Once again we were given a new movie from Marvel and this time it was the third of this ragtag team who have been quite a favorite for me and my wife. So we did not hesitate to see this movie as soon as we could. Since I was busy with work in the past few days, we only got the chance to do it during the weekend. All right then, let's get on with it.

Brief Story Line

Peter Quill (Chris Pratt - The Terminal List TV series, The Super Mario Bros. Movie etc) and his fellow guardians Rocket (Bradley Cooper - Nightmare Alley, The Hangover trilogy etc), Drax (Dave Bautista - Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Final Score etc), Mantis (Pom Klementieff - Sleepless Night, Uncut Gems etc), Nebula (Karen Gillan - The Bubble, Stuber etc) and Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel - Bloodshot, The Fate of the Furious etc) were living in the Knowhere together with lot of other people. Peter was still feeling down from the demise of Gamora (Zoe Saldana - Avatar: The Way of Water,  The Adam Project etc) and despite the appearance of younger version of Gamora, she did not have any recollection and closeness with him. 

Project Wolf Hunting - A Very Gory Action Thriller Movie Combined with Some Sci-Fi Element

While I was looking for new movies on various platforms yesterday, I noticed this one that was scheduled to be released in Catchplay+ on that day. It has a premise that really intrigued me, so I decided to watch it once it was available. My wife who usually would accompany me watching South Korean movie was busy with a series she was hooked on. All right then, I will head directly to it.

Brief Story Line

In the past, there were criminals from South Korea who escaped and hid in the Philippines. When some of them were caught, the government decided to extradite them from Manila to Busan through the sea by using a large cargo ship. A group of police with years of experience led by Captain Lee Seok-woo (Park Ho-san - Unlocked, Prison Playbook TV series etc) and included a female detective named Lee Da-yeon (Jung So-min - Alchemy of Souls TV series, Daddy You, Daughter Me etc) were assigned to guard them.
