(TV SERIES) Westworld Season 1 - A Great Science Fiction Original Series from HBO

I have known about this series since it was promoted and premiered in HBO almost 2 years ago. As usual, I would like to binge-watch a series when it was already completed for the whole season. But somehow this one eluded me and I completely forgotten about its existence until 2 or 3 weeks ago when I saw the promotion by HBO for the second season. So when I got the chance, I immediately set my time for a marathon of the first season. Well let us move on to the series itself now.

Brief Story Line

Westworld was a Wild-West themed park where people can enter it by paying large sum of money to enjoy experiencing the life as cowboy during the Wild West period. The theme park was filled with human-like android robots called Hosts who were able to interact with guests. The hosts were uploaded with predefined narrative that would allow them to always play out their characterization till their narrative was completed, with tolerable deviation depending on their interaction.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery - Detective Benoit Blanc Did it Again!

Being a fan of whodunit and the lead character, obviously I wanted to watch this movie as early as possible. So when it was finally made available in Netflix on Friday, I immediately start watching it. Without further ado, here's more on the film.

Brief Story Line

Famous detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig - Casino Royale, Layer Cake etc) was called up by Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis - Luckiest Girl Alive, The Spy Who Dumped Me etc) the police chief of a small town where a murder happened in a Catholic Church. They were assisted by Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close - Back in Action, Fatal Attraction etc) who had been very devoted to the Church since childhood and also the groundskeeper Samson (Thomas Haden Church - Spider-man 3, Twisted Metal TV series etc).

The Batman - A Unique Take on the Iconic DC Character

After a couple of weeks playing in theaters, my wife and I finally went to see this movie yesterday. We have been putting off going to the cinemas due to the latest surge of Covid-19 in Indonesia. Anyway, we saw this film in a small exclusive theater with reclining seats that only had 20+ people in it. We used my wife's vouchers that she had for years which we thought was the perfect time to utilize as the movie had nearly 3 hours duration. OK I'll get right to it then.

Brief Story Line

In Gotham city, Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson - Twilight Saga, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire etc) had been operating as vigilante for 2 years. When there was a murder of high profile person by a man who called himself Riddler (Paul Dano - The Guilty, There Will be Blood etc), Lieutenant James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright - No Time to Die, The French Dispatch etc) asked Batman's help despite the objection from other police.

No Time to Die - A Satisfying Finale of Daniel Craig's Era as The Iconic British Spy

My wife and I had not been to the cinemas for > 1.5 years due to Covid-19 pandemic. But sadly even though we had tried our best by following health protocol and keeping our outside activities to the very minimum, we still got infected. After our recovery and when the theaters re-opened, we decided to see movies in the cinemas again while our immunity was still very strong. However, due to some restrictions, only few cinemas that we could choose from. And finally we got the chance to see this movie in one of the cinemas, which I got to say was an unforgettable & emotional experience. OK, without further ado, here's more on the movie.

Brief Story Line

Few years after his retirement, Commander James Bond (Daniel Craig - Knives Out, The Girl in the Spider's Web etc) was asked by his friend from CIA, Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright - Westworld TV series etc) and his colleague Logan Ash (Billy Magnussen - Made for Love TV series etc) to retrieve a scientist Valdo Obruchev (David Dencik - The Chestnut Man TV series etc). Despite his reluctance, Bond decided to help Felix where he would be assisted by Agent Paloma (Ana de Armas - Blade Runner 2049, The Informer etc).

(TV SERIES) What If...? Season 1 - Unique and Interesting Series with Some Well Animated Action Scenes

For around 2 months, this series has been playing on Disney+ which seemed intriguing and also set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but with a bit of a twist. The first season finale was shown last Wednesday and I just started watching it during the weekend & finished it yesterday. All right, I'll get to the interesting part now.

Brief Story Line

The Watcher (Jeffrey Wright - No Time to Die, The Hunger Games movies etc) was a mysterious being whose main activity was watching over the whole multiverses. As a watcher, he never interfered at all and became the witness of everything that happened in the various universes.
