24 Japan - An Identical Remake of the First Season of Famous US Series Starring Kiefer Sutherland

I did not know the existence of this series until I saw it on Disney+ which made me curious. It was said to be based on the highly popular and one of my major favorite series 24. As it was released one episode per week, I had to wait quite a long time before the whole season was complete. Well let us find out more, shall we?

Brief Story Line

Genba Shido (Toshiaki Karasawa - Voice: 110 Emergency Control Room TV series, Persona Non Grata etc) was working as the captain of Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) in Tokyo. When it was found out that there was a plot to assassinate the potential first female Prime Minister of Japan named Urara Asakura (Yukie Nakama - Trick TV series, Gokusen etc), Genba must do whatever it takes to protect her. Meanwhile Urara also had some personal problems that might affect her political ambition.

(2019) Line of Duty - Suspenseful Enough as Real Time Action Movie Even Despite Some of its Flaws

While looking at the list of movies playing in one of Indonesia's cinema website, I noticed a new movie that was released yesterday. I saw its posters few times in their theaters earlier but did not really look into it. As there was no other movie and I wanted to give this a try, I decided to see it last night. My wife did not accompany for this with doubt over its quality. Anyway, I'll get to the movie now.

Brief Story Line

A police officer named Frank Penny (Aaron Eckhart - MidwayLondon Has Fallen etc) was having his normal day when he encountered a suspect kidnapper and tried to capture the criminal, which unfortunately did not end well. Pending investigation, Frank was told by police chief Volk (Giancarlo Esposito - Maze Runner: The Death Cure, Breaking Bad TV series etc) to let go of the case.

Unlocked - An Interesting Crime Thriller Spy Drama Full of Twists

After watching 2 movies back to back on Wednesday and Thursday, I noticed that there was another movie which had actually played in theaters since last week but I have not seen it. At first my wife and I were doubtful whether we should see the film or not, considering that it did not seem to garner a lot of attention. Furthermore, I was having a lot of meetings on Friday and was not sure if I could make it to the 7 PM show. But when it became clear I would be able to leave the office at 5.30 PM, and since I really wanted to have some stress relief entertainment, I requested my wife's help to buy the tickets. So off we go to see this film in Lotte Avenue.

Brief Story Line

A CIA desk agent named Alice Racine (Noomi Rapace - The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Prometheus etc) was content with her current work in London, identifying possible terrorists cell/people from the surrounding environment. During her work, she was also liaising with an MI5 British Intelligent agent named Emily Knowles (Toni Collette - Hitchcock, xXx: Return of Xander Cage etc) who was also very supportive of Alice. Using her cover, Alice also managed to turn Amjad (Tosin Cole) from an ordinary taxi driver to an asset.
